It was a very special day. There were hundreds of people celebrating the American Cancer Society Relay for Life in Southshore, Florida.

My team collected over $1500 in donations so far. My son Timm, daughter Laura, granddaughter Heather, and great-grandson Ryan were with me today in the Survivor Tent. The local hospital provided a delicious lunch for all of us. We had a lovely 101-year-old lady at our table — she was really fun and loved Timm.
The opening ceremony was beautiful, and the survivors and their caregivers walked the track.
Everyone works very hard for these Relays. This was my twelfth Relay for Life, and they are always very inspiring and fun too. Again, a very special day.
Here’s a video of the start of the Relay for Life with the survivors and their caregivers:

Hi Hazel, great blog! You are one amazing woman, digital photography, now cyberspace! I’m impressed!
The cancer walk looked like fun, I like to see all your smiling pictures.
Hoping you’re doing well. I’m glad Timmy was able to be with you these last few days and I’m also glad he’s home.
Miss you, Theresa
