Bloom after Bloom with Queen’s Wreath

Enjoy this beautiful vine with me.  I planted my Queen’s Wreath on the front of our garage about six years ago.  It is an aggressive grower, but easy to prune.  I discovered that for continuous bloom, you need to remove (deadhead) the dry blossoms after flowering and try to water at least every other day.

This photo is the second glorious show for this year.  This has had as many as five blooms into July, a real joy!  I must confess, the Queen’s Wreath can be messy as the leaves dry and drop.  But I just sweep them up and use them as mulch in nearby garden beds.  Enjoy!
