Silvie is our Pomeranian Shih Tzu and was six years old on April 23rd. Her real name is Silvie Pearl. Being born in the South, of course she has to have two names. Love, love, love her! She’s well-behaved and has a great personality, though she’s a bit clingy now. But that’s OK, so am I.
Enjoy this beautiful vine with me. I planted my Queen’s Wreath on the front of our garage about six years ago. It is an aggressive grower, but easy to prune. I discovered that for continuous bloom, you need to remove (deadhead) the dry blossoms after flowering and try to water at least every other day.
This photo is the second glorious show for this year. This has had as many as five blooms into July, a real joy! I must confess, the Queen’s Wreath can be messy as the leaves dry and drop. But I just sweep them up and use them as mulch in nearby garden beds. Enjoy!

Here is a short video on Relay For Life and the impact the event has on people and the community:
I’ve been awaiting this day — am finally joining the world of cyberspace. I believe it will be great fun. I’m certainly anticipating all the new information available to me.
Happy Mother’s Day to the gals, and don’t forget the flowers, guys. A great day to all.
